WELCOME! We would appreciate a moment of your time to present who we are and what we do:
OUR MISSION
The Kirkwood Garden Club offers a friendly community forum for individuals interested in gardening who enjoy sharing gardening information and pursuing experiences to acquire greater gardening and horticultural knowledge and skills.
OUR HISTORY
Established on February 12, 1950 as the Kirkwood Men's Garden Club, the organization was originally an affiliated chapter of the Men's Garden Clubs of America. The national affiliation was later expanded to include women and is now known as the Gardeners of America. In February of 2000 the local name was changed to Kirkwood Garden Club to reflect the gender inclusive nature of the organization.
Since 1978, the Club has designed, planted and maintained the flower display adjacent to the Kirkwood Amtrak Station and since 1981 has planted the flowerbed on Kirkwood Road across from the station.
OUR PURPOSE
 |
To stimulate interest and educate our members and the community in the disciplines of gardening, horticulture, conservation and the natural environment. |
 |

 |
To promote effective stewardship of our community's natural and cultivated landscapes resulting in the preservation of trees, green space and beneficial wildlife. |
